A few years ago, I filmed Nat and Mat’s wedding in Brisbane. They recommended me alongside NAK photography, who also shot their wedding. I have become good friends with Brent and Sam now we have another four weddings this year together. It is not only fantastic that couples recommend me but another photographer as well.
The day started with Tim at the Oaks hotel Southbank and a letter from Anita. I headed over to Anita’s house for Bride prep. Anita was very relaxed, so prep was an easy affair. After Anita finished here letter from Tim, I knew this will the basis of the highlight film.
I always knew this was going to be an emotional day for them. Tim and Anita have been together for two years this month (March 2019). They met on Tinder. Anita was Tim’s first serious girlfriend and had dated quite a bit before but was always waiting to meet someone she could spend the rest of her life with (soppy, I know!). She thought many of her family thought this day would never come as she was always unlucky in love.
Vic Park was the location for the ceremony. They were being held on the patio next to the Garden Marquee. I think all the build-up to the wedding and the morning prep’s emotions finally came spilling over during Anita vows, Tim showing support in every way.
Once the ceremony was over, It was time to relax, drive some golf buggies around the golf course for the photoshoot. It was the perfect light for them on a beautiful afternoon with not a cloud in the sky.
I have been to Vic Park many times to shoot weddings. I’ve been around the grounds. I’ve seen everything. It was my 1st wedding where we had seen the long pink grass. It was just a weed that hasn’t been out, which was fantastic for us. The film does not look like you are in Brisbane city’s centre, which is incredible.
It matches the softness and romance of Anita and Tim’s video.
