Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens

Recommended by another photographer

During this COVID ravage year, it was tough to plan and know precisely what my bookings would look like. Fortunately for me, I have built many friendships with other photographers. This wedding was a recommendation from the girls over at MEZIC Studios, who I had worked with a few years ago on another wedding. So great to be here at Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens.

First, look

I love the first look. It does not happen enough at weddings. It takes the pressure off couples, so they know what to expect when they walk down the aisle. Inez and Caitlyn were getting ready at the same house, making it very easy. Having a place full of girls always makes it fun; prep is never boring in the situation.

Make a wedding highlight film with a difference.

When I met with Inez and Caitlin, the brief was to create something romantic, soft and full of love in their highlight video. I get free rein from all my couples which is fantastic for a creative mind. The intro’s idea came from a photographer friend who does silhouettes. But these are photos. So I added the extra dimension to animate these as well.

Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens

I have filmed many weddings at Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens. Couples want to get married around this time of year to have their ceremony under the jacaranda tree. Unfortunately for them this year, the tree never really blossomed. So Inez and Caitlin brought in some help. 3 boxes of someone else jacaranda blossoms to cover there isle

The whole day was just a chilled out vibe, with a touch of class. There are some great locations all-around Bundaleer. Even the cows ere happy to see us.

Lets Dance

This was the first Saturday when the dancing restrictions were lifted so a maximum of 40 people could get their boogie on. After all the stress of not knowing if weddings were going to occur, It certainly was a relief. You can see people just itching to get up and go crazy on the dance floor!

This is one of my favourite highlight films it certainly is different but there’s a whole lot of love

Wedding videographer

Some kind words from Inez and Caitlin

Phil was the ultimate professional from the moment we first made contact with him. Because the wedding was in October 2020 and COVID had interrupted our wedding planning, we booked Phil relatively late and he was more than accommodating. He took the time to meet with us at his studio before the wedding and was friendly, patient and understanding throughout our discussions. He showed genuine interest in our wedding planning and what we were aiming to achieve, and he was more than happy to collaborate with us and provide ideas and suggestions.

Communication was excellent – he would periodically email helpful guides and tips, and kept us in the loop every step of the way. Moreover, it was a genuine pleasure to have Phil with us on the big day – he put us at complete ease and somehow managed to be discreet while still capturing all of our precious moments on film! Even with a busy schedule, Phil managed to get our teaser and highlight films to us in a timely fashion and we were delighted with the result. His editing absolutely nailed the brief. The ceremony and reception films were also edited and it was joy to be able to relive the day through them. For a couple who were originally questioning whether to even have a videographer, we are so glad we decided to go ahead and that we found Phil – highly recommended in all regards!
