I first met Chloe and Khoi at a wedding expo in 2024. At that stage, they didn’t have many of the details for their wedding locked in, and I certainly had no idea that they’d go on to be the very first couple I’d ever film who had karaoke at their reception. Khoi, being Vietnamese, had a family who were more than ready to embrace the microphone, and their enthusiasm was infectious.
The stage was set at the beautiful Hillstone, St Lucia. To get the evening’s entertainment rolling, Chloe and Khoi bravely kicked things off with a spirited rendition of Mr. Brightside. Within moments, the dance floor filled as guests jumped in to sing and sway along with them.
From there, it was a joyful spiral into one gloriously bad song after another—off-key notes, questionable dance moves, and big belly laughs. But that was the charm. It wasn’t about perfect performances; it was about pure, unfiltered fun. The energy never dipped, and it became one of the most memorable and delightfully chaotic receptions I’ve ever filmed.
